Kathy Louise Clinkscales Moriarty, 72, passed away at home on August 12, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born to Lewis and Katherine Clinkscales on April 19, 1950, in Tyler, Texas. She grew up in Kilgore, Texas. While attending Kilgore College, she met her future husband, Mike Moriarty. She attended Baylor University where she earned both her Baccalaureate and Master’s degrees in Music.
Shortly after her marriage to Mike and their move to Fort Worth, Kathy began sharing her talent and love of music, combined with her strong faith, serving as organist at Westminster Presbyterian Church for the next 48 years. During this time, Kathy also completed a Master of Divinity degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She was active in Presbyterian Women, as well as various musical organizations and women’s clubs.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Mike Moriarty, sisters-in-law Kathleen Wilkins (Pat) and Mariana Rumbaugh (Bill) as well as several nieces and nephews, church family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 23rd at 11 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 7001 Trail Lake Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76133.
