He continued to work in that field even upon retirement as a teacher and consultant. He was well known and respected for his technical expertise, common sense approach to explosives safety, and his willingness to help others.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He prioritized helping and caring for his family. He did this in many practical ways. For example, he made sure that all of our vehicles were safe and properly maintained. He was truly dedicated to the happiness and success of his four granddaughters, Charlotte, Mackenzie, Reese, and Sage. He was an almost daily presence in their lives from the day they were each born. He will be remembered with so much love and missed immeasurably.
Tom was a lifelong and faithful Catholic. He served God by serving others. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Parish St. Vincent de Paul Society for many years. He always possessed an inherent drive to help his family, friends, acquaintances, and those in need in any way he could.
