Patricia Ann Sorrick passed away, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, laughter, and deep, unconditional love. Born in Reno, Nevada, on August 21, 1940, Patricia grew up as the eldest of five sisters—a bond that shaped her vibrant spirit and inspired a lifetime of unforgettable childhood adventures.
At the heart of Patricia’s life was her marriage to her beloved husband, John Charles Sorrick. When Patricia and John fell in love, they truly understood the meaning of real love. Together, they cherished every moment, holding fast to their devotion and building a bright, wonderful world side by side.
Life and Passions: Throughout her life, Patricia dedicated herself to her children and worked with elementary students to advance their knowledge. She also volunteered with Veterans Affairs. Outside of her work, she brought joy to everything she touched. She loved painting on canvas and china, gardening, traveling with John, raising her pigs, Harley and Wally, and spending time outdoors; but above all, she found her greatest happiness in bringing her family together and creating cherished memories with those she loved.
An extraordinary woman, mother, and sister, Patricia brought warmth and grace to everyone around her. Her gentle heart and steady presence will be profoundly missed, though her strength lives on in the family she treasured above all else.
Family: Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, John Charles Sorrick. She is also survived by her loving children and their spouses: her son, Dennis James Holyfield and Susan; her daughter, Cynthia Joy Nelson and husband Steven; her son, Timothy James Holyfield and wife Elizabeth; and Dana Gomez; along with her 15 cherished grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, her sisters, extended family, and many friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her sons, John Ray Holyfield and John Scott Sorrick.
Patricia will be laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California.
