Ive been getting some very nice condolences from your old nursing staff and family..There are still a lot of nice people in the world contrary to what i believe..I'll be letting a sunflower go to heaven for you in about 10 mins.  I don't know how many make it to you..but I love sending them ya..I know U must have to go to the library to use the computer to get my text..Because you left me your cell  I had to block your moms number she's been driving me crazy..You know how we hate trump well i think i hate your mother more  IM SORRY FOR THAT.  I don't want to cut this short but the last time I ran out of space..If i do il promise Ill  text another day
One last thing Im still trying to find someone to paint or engrave on your bullet for me   I won't quit looking

Hello gorgeous  Your like a fine bottle of wine  You get better every day..Well i struggled through the year without you  But believe me it was very very hard to do As you know there isn't a day that goes by that I don't sit on the couch and talk to you and cry ..Im still lost today as the day you left me..I know it wasnt by your choice..
I think I told you earlier that your high school friend and nursing buddy Lynn Schambarger/Comes and I have been texting ever since she found out about your passing..I think we know more about your high school and places in Toledo than most people..I don't know if you knew Mark passed away about a year ago.. she's remarried since to a guy  named Bob Comes don't know if you know him... He's pretty ill and she's his care giver at home.. Its pretty tough on  her..Thats why  we do a lot of talking to ease our pain..It seems to work a little We sure laugh a lot about the old days in Toledo..I still haven't gotten rid of any of your things.. its just to hard for me..Lynn wants to take up  punch needle and rug  hooking so I will try to guide her as well as i  can and give her a few of your items..They will go to a good home..Ill give her a old frame and some things to get started She very excited to learn after a master..  We talk a lot about the blizzard of 78  a lot when you  two were stranded at St. Vs   Not to change the subject but is there anything you want to do special for your B.D. coming up   You know I would make your fav cake but then i'd have to eat it and I'm trying to cutdown a little..Have I told you in the last few sentences how MUCH I MISS YOU SWEETHEART...Your mother does too..But I have to block her calls..shes driving me crazy..Hows grandma and all our kids..Hows the gardens coming along..Have you converted your grandma to a vegan yet..I don't think there's any sprouts or whole foods up there yet..for grandma to get pork loins.. Blue Jr and his sisters still come for handouts .Im out of space DEAR will write again

Hello my dearest and you are my true Angel. I writing this a few hours early. Because I’m really sad tonite. I want to make sure you get this before I totally loose it. I’ll be sending our grandma Tink up to be your little angel in a few days. She’s taken a turn for the worst. This will probably rip the rest of my heart out.  Like when I said goodbye to You. 
I’m seeing my therapist again. She only helps take away the pain for awhile. I should get back on some antidepressants. But the two I tried made me really down. Now that Nic and Ryan are back home I’m really down. I’m still plugging away at my little jobs. Turing to get them done. 
I got 4 estimates on a chair lift backyard. I think it’s cheaper to get a firepole. 
Don’t know if I told you earlier that Barb went to Asia again for 3 months. Haven’t talked to Eileen or Gary Diane forever. But you’ll never guess in a hundred years who contacted me and now we are texting all the time  remember Lynn and mark Shambarger from Toledo. Your younger nursing partner. She’s a blast to talk to. 
Well Sweetheart I could go on all nite but I’m getting a little sappy thinking about Tink. 
P S. I think when Ryan and I caulked the LVRm window it stopped the leak. It’s supposed to be to rain all next week. You don’t have anything to do with that now do you.

Top of the morning to ya Gorgeous  your like a bottle of wine you keep getting better with age. Just a few lines to keep you up to date. I went up to river rock for my Big Day. Of course you went with me. You’re my guardian Angel. I did ok not great. Brought home 1800. It’s all non smoking in there now. So we were both able to breath and have fun. 
Enough about me. How are you and grandma doing and all our furry kids. I miss you all Terrilby. How’s the garden coming along. Even with all the cold weather we’re having you have roses and other flowers popping up. Very cool to see. 
I will be going back to therapy soon. Even after she forgot to say what I wanted her to say about you.

Merry Christmas Gorgeous. It wasn’t very merry without you but I struggled  if it weren’t for Nicole and Ryan I probably wouldn’t have made it through the holidays. They truly are great family. Everybody keeps asking how are you doing. I keep telling them how would you feel if you lost the LOVE of your life. My inspiration my ROCK. My best friend. I could go on all night but I’m only allowed 2000 characters. 
Anyway I drove over to Lake Tahoe drove around the lake like we used to. It’s still beautiful  lotta snow. Didn’t do much  else all our favorite antique stores are closed. There’s even a better shocker our favorite restaurant Rhapscallion is permanently closed. Well I’m sorry I didn’t have better news to tell you.  Maybe the next text have some. Well sweetheart I better close for now I’m getting that teary eyed syndrome. Thank you and grandma for watching over me on the trip over there and back.

I did not know Nada. I only learned from her via a post on YouTube. My most sincere and heartfelt wishes to her family. To the world she was but one, but to one she was everything.

Well Gorgeous it’s me again. Tell to let you know what’s going on down here in this Hell hole. First Your office partner Debbie’s coming in town to see her family and have some dental work done in CV. Told her I’d pick her up after and have lunch at china bistro. She’s really in a bad place right now with everything going on with Don.   Anyway I’m sure going to miss our turkey rolls and trimmings. 
I’ll probably just go to Emil’s villa. Ryan and Nicole were going to help me with some  things around here but the weather has been pretty crummy so we scrapped that plan. If there’s not much snow I might go to see Al Beth in St George. Beth’s not doing to good  couple of bad strokes. Well our front door kid’s finally destroyed the cat tree and chair. So I bought new ones. There getting so big. 
I wish there was a way to let there mommie see them.  Your moms will be going to a nursing home in Livingston soon according to Your sister. Mary’s been very lonely lately. She calls to talk almost weekly. I guess she’s not getting any help or money from hubby. All her girls are looney tunes. So she turns to me for advice help guidance anything   
I’m still plugging along with the yard and
Projects that I can do. Still can’t find any house cleaners or landscapers. I just do what I can. I m doing my best to keep your car running. And in good shape. It’s been very cold here at nights. I still keep the flowers coming every week on the table. And keep a look out for your balloons I send you. 
One last thing my cellulitis has been giving me  somewhat of problems lately. But Dr C has been helping me get through it. So I have to be very careful around the house while doing stuff.

It’s me again Gorgeous. My little red haired freckle faced beauty. I’m just checking in to see how you’re doing. I’m still broken and will be until I meet up with U again. What has the almighty got planned for you. I’m still doing ok but not good without you. I don’t remember if I told you Frank and Kathy visited last week for a few days which I had a great time with him. 3 days aren’t long enough but at least they made it for your. COL.  he looks the same and always will until he passes. Not to bring up bad news. But your mom is driving me frickin bonkers. She calls every other day. Texts me every day. I’m at my Witt’s end with her. Tia finally stopped texting  thank god.   I did get a good call last week from your sister Mary she invited me for thanksgiving but I have to decline because Nicole and Ryan are coming out to help me with some projects I can’t handle. 
So enough about me. Have your new garden in yet. I really want to see some of your new rughookings   Send me some pics when you can. I bet you and grandma are going to lunch a lot. What is she cooking for Sunday dinners t.hat you don’t eat meat anymore. Have you made her any of your great vegan dishes.

It’s me again  my little Gorgeous redhead freckle face sweetheart. It’s been 6 months now since you got your angel wings. IM SO VERY PROUD OF YOU IN THIS LIFE FOR BEING YOU  AND ESPECIALLY FOR BEING MY  HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEART. MY FIANCÉE MY WIFE. MY IDOL. MY CONFIDENT. MY LOVER  MY  ROCK and  last but not least. MY BEST FRIEND. 
I think that pretty well somes it all up.   Nicole and Ryan have been a great help to me holding it together. I’m still trying to get things done around the house but it’s taking me a lot longer. I’ll get them done. 
Well the holidays are coming up I’m sure going to miss our decorating the house and you being here with me to enjoy it. I say a prayer every time I think of a special day or event. It’s a good thing our texting is unlimited.   I might get called to jury duty this week I can’t seem to get dismissed.  Buh. Humbug. It is what it is.  Ryan and Nicole want to come out again for Xmas. Which I’ll be happy and sad at the same time. Don’t know if I told you Kathy had  gullbladder surgery a few months ago that why Frank couldn’t make it to your celebration. They want to come out too.  One last thing I want to tell you Gorgeous is your celebration was great. Dr Wagner and Mike Jensen Akula were there. Your rughooker friends. The redwing group. And a few neighbors. All my family except Ted and Frank were there. A VERY NICE  TURNOUT FOR YOU SWEETHEART.

Dear Sweetheart. I never thought I’d be writing this so soon. But all I could think is God needed another Super Angel. Well he’s really got his hands full with you now. You know there aren’t enough words in the dictionary to express how much I LOVE YOU and MISS YOU. I’m truly grateful you’re not in pain any more. That trully crushed me  I hope you like the flowers I get you every week. I have fun picking out pretty ones that I think you’d like I know sunflowers are one of your favs. So I work around those. I’m planning a celebration of life later on don’t know just when. Itll be at the clubhouse so you’ll still be in the neighborhood.  Oh before I end  this I’m seeing a new therapist in Pleasanton. She’s very sympathetic and listens to me. I go every 2 weeks. I better go for now getting very teary eyed. I’ll text again soon. With all my LOVE FOREVER until we meet again

  I always yearned to have a closer relationship with you, but it never transpired. I hope our last conversation reassured you of how much I loved and respected you.
  What a fantastic, giving, person you always were! And Thanx for being the great Aunt to my kids as well.  I will miss you!
  Now, when I go outside, sometimes I just breathe in and look up to the sky and imagine you're flying free...no more pain! I am elated!

Ever since I was a young child you've always extended your support in my talents and education.  You've been an exemplar of the true female spirit: generosity,  intelligence, creativity, and kindness. You dedicated your life's work to helping and treating others. The course of all of our lives have been changed for the better by your existence. I think of all the people you had yet to grace with your brilliance and how soon cancer took you from us.  A sick and twisted universal joke. But we had you! I had you for 35 years as my aunt who would always remember the important dates and showed up for me when I needed it most. You've shown me what a successful woman can do in this life with a giving spirit. Thank you for being my Aunt Nada and I still hope I "grow up" to become as successful as you have been in this lifetime.  I love you 💙 Rest in Peace 💙

Hello to Bruce, and to all who knew and loved Nada. I am very sorry for your (our) loss of such a remarkable woman. I worked with Nada as a colleague at Kaiser for years. It was the kind of job where our paths didn’t cross daily but often enough for me to know Nada as a compassionate, smart, tireless, devoted nurse practitioner.  She cared for the whole person, knowing each patient’s personal stories in additional to addressing all their health care needs. She was a fierce advocate for patients and for family and friends. She always spoke so lovingly of Bruce and the home and magnificent garden they built together. And let’s not forget her great artistic talents. Each day I look at a hooked rug I received as a retirement gift from Nada and I’m in awe. 
I feel blessed to have known her and I will miss her.

I wrote earlier but wanted to add something. These works echo through my head in memory of Nada: Bruce, home, cats, gardening, rug hooking, antiques.

Dear Bruce, we do not know each other as I knew Nada through our group “Ladies of Wrenwood Hall.”  Nada was such a talented fiber artist and what a green thumb she had. The flower pictures she would share were always spectacular.  I loved and looked forward to all her postings, whether they were craft or plants. She left this world much too soon, leaving a  great void,  no one knows better than yourself.  I felt I needed to reach out to let you know I cared and I miss her.  In sympathy. JoAnn Borges

I met Nada in 1989 during my Kaiser Hayward orientation. I worked in the same medical center until I retired in 2016 and Nada was a part of my life the entire time. She was a tireless advocate for the nurse practitioner role. She lead efforts at the medical center to acknowledge and promote nurse practitioners. Although I wasn’t a close personal friend Nada definitely was a strong influence in my life. I am deeply saddened by her loss and will miss her. My heart goes out to Bruce and her family.
