Frank Accettola passed away on December 26, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on January 8, 1948, Frank lived a life marked by ingenuity, adventure, and a deep devotion to family and home.
Frank was the proud father of Jennifer Clark, Julie Accettola, and Thomas Accettola and his two adopted sons, Eddo Robbiarto Accettola and Endro Praystio Accettola. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, his older brother Loreto Accettola, nephews, nieces, and other family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Lawrence Accettola and Frances Marie Accettola (Loizzi), his younger brother John Accettola, and his son Eddo.
Frank built a varied and accomplished career, working as a mechanic, a heavy equipment operator, and later as a business manager for the Operating Engineers. A natural problem-solver, he was especially proud to be the patented inventor of a center-line trenching system, an achievement that reflected his creativity and practical skill.
Outside of work, Frank embraced life with enthusiasm. He had a passion for old cars, motorcycles, loved flying his ultralight airplane, and was always ready to sing karaoke.
His work and interests took him around the world, with travels to Southeast Asia, Australia, Ukraine, Poland, Mexico, Germany, and Uruguay—experiences that enriched his life and stories he shared often.
Above all, Frank was deeply attached to his home and property near Lake Berryessa, CA where he lived for nearly 50 years. Even after enduring two devastating fires, his love for the land and the life he built there, and his hope for its restoration never wavered.
Frank will be remembered for his resilience, inventiveness, adventurous spirit, and enduring love for his family and home. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
