

Deborah Lynn Miller (Deb) of Vacaville, CA passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the age of 75. She was born on June 29, 1950 in Decatur, Illinois. Her family moved frequently and Deb spent time in Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania and California. She had five brothers, and she frequently talked about spending time with Michael as the oldest of the children and the fort that their father built for them. She got her strength and tenacity from her mother Cleo. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and she remembered the candy that her mother would make as food for the day. She loved to read and her favorite book, The Wind and the Willows, was given to her by her Grandma Dorothy. Deb met all of the challenges in her life with strength, courage, graciousness and generosity. Her most frequent advice was “Eat Dessert First.”
Deb met her partner Pat Moffett playing softball and they spent the next 45 years together. They enjoyed spending their time hiking, bowling and going to casinos.
She took classes at UC Davis and Solano Community College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Accounting. She started work as a bookkeeper and eventually ended up working for the City of Vacaville. She spent 20 years working her way up from an Account Clerk to an Accountant II.
Deb was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Mother Cleo Arlene Hale, Father Russell Woodrow Miller, brothers Michael Miller and Timothy Ory and daughter with Pat, Nancy Moffett.
She is survived by her partner Pat Moffett and her three daughters, Joan Lutz, Kate (Lutz) Zawadzki, and Sarah (Lutz) Freemen that she adored and was so proud of all that they had accomplished and her brother’s Keith, Kevin and Joseph Ory. Deb also shared two sons with Pat, Rex and Ryan Moffett. Deb loved children and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren: Ashley (Vanzant) Ramirez, Ashlee Zawadzki, Amber (Cates) Hook, Zach Cates, Ken Zawadzki, Nico Freeman, and Kristina Zawadzki, as well as her great-grandchildren.
