Shirley Ann Minkler-Conaty

Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother, family member, and friend whose greatest joy came from spending time with the people she loved. Whether sharing meals, celebrating milestones, or offering a listening ear, she made everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. The relationships she built throughout her life will remain a lasting source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.

Born on June 25, 1946, in Santa Cruz, California, Shirley lived a life guided by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering dedication to her family. She cherished every opportunity to create lasting memories with her children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue for generations.

Wherever life took her, Shirley formed lasting friendships. She made many lifelong friends in the communities she called home, including San Jose, Campbell, Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Paso Robles, Arizona, and finally Roseville, California. Her warmth, generosity, and genuine interest in others made it easy for people to feel at home in her presence, and many of those friendships endured for decades.

Shirley is lovingly survived by her brother Robert Campbell, stepson, Chris Minkler; her granddaughter Ashley, her husband, Rick, and their children, Owen and Dean; her granddaughter Hilary and her son, Mason; and her stepdaughter, Cindy Ralston, her husband, Tom, and their children, Rowan and Allen.

Though she will be deeply missed, Shirley's life is celebrated with heartfelt gratitude. Her compassion, resilience, warmth, and unconditional love touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved and in the countless acts of kindness she inspired.

In keeping with Shirley's wishes, no memorial service will be held. She had previously arranged for her ashes to be spread beneath the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County, California, a place that held special meaning for her. Friends and loved ones can honor Shirley's memory by spending time with family, sharing stories of her life, and extending kindness to others.
