All of his friends called him R.J. and he was one of those characters you wanted to get to know. At 16 he joined the Army where he became proficient in tanks. Later in life he became an inspector for the Bradley tanks for FMC. By the end of his service he earned the rank of Special Ops E-5. As a kid he helped his Dad in the construction company in South Lake Tahoe where he was raised. His natural aptitude for mechanics led him to open a shop with his brother and they were part of the racing scene for a short time. He moved onto driving large trucks (triples in NV), doubles in CA as a fuel hauler. He became an Arco driver/trainer until he retired. He didn’t sit still in retirement earning his real estate license, which gave him the funds to play. He refurbished crashed and old Corvettes before moving to boats. His later years were enjoyed with his wife traveling the West Coast working as Camp Hosts for KOA. R.J. lived life big and will be missed immensely!
