Michael W. Gould
November 17, 1944 – October 18, 2025
Michael Wayne Gould passed away on October 18, 2025. He was born on November 17, 1944, in Roseville, California, where he was a lifelong resident. He was 80 years old.
Those who knew Mike, knew that he was proud of his family’s deep Roseville roots, dating back to 1850s, making the Goulds one of the earliest families that settled in this town.
Mike is survived by Lenora Jean, his devoted wife of 56 years, and by their two daughters, Lenora Ann Watson (Marc) and Michele Anderson (Jeremy). He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, Lenora Rene and Marica Watson; and Gavin and Jordin Anderson.
Mike is also survived by his siblings, Don Gould (Beth); Steven Gould (Susan); and Debbie Holcolmb (Geoff). He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ila Gould, and by his niece, Kelly. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mike was a graduate of the Class of 1962 at Roseville High School, where four generations of his family attended school — beginning with his father and continuing with some of his grandchildren.
He attended college in Oregon and at Sacramento State, before joining the U.S. Air Force and later dedicating himself to a 35-year career with the federal government.
Mike enjoyed various hobbies including woodworking, gifting many handcrafted birdhouses to friends and family members. He also enjoyed regular gatherings with long-time friends and former classmates. His real passion, however, was folk music. He played his guitar daily — both at home and at events with friends and family.
His music, as well as his steady nature and kindness, will be missed by all who knew him.
The family is planning a celebration of life. Details to follow. Please check back here in the coming weeks for additional information.
