She was the beloved sister of Linda Smith (spouse Kenny) of Red Bluff, CA, and Jim Richmond (spouse Stacy) of Redding, CA.
Laura was a devoted mother to Colleen Hice (spouse Chris) of Marlow, OK, and Michael Conroy (significant other Christina Hays) of Carmichael, CA. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them, especially spending time in Fort Bragg, CA, on camping trips. She was also a proud grandmother to Hannah Horn (spouse Deward) of Marlow, OK, Ethan Hice (spouse Yhannelli) of Duncan, OK, Emma Hice of Marlow, OK, and Hayden Hice of Marlow, OK, and great-grandmother to Rosalie and Azaylea Hice, and James Horn, who brought her immense joy, as well as her cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She loved crafting and making candy with her sister, Linda. She also enjoyed the outdoors and traveling. Most of all, she loved her Westie, Chantilly, affectionately known as Miss Tilly.
Her warm smile and compassionate heart touched everyone she met. Her laughter was contagious and it brought joy to anyone who was fortunate enough to be infected by it. She was known for her unwavering strength and her ability to be calm in any situation.
She dedicated many years to her work as an accountant and as an equal opportunity officer for the State of California’s National Guard where she had many co-workers who became lifelong friends.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Sally Richmond.
A celebration of life will be held at 8336 Keyesport Way, Citrus Heights, CA 95610 on May 28, 2025 at 5pm.

Laura will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.
