Upon completion of my AA at College of Marin, I moved to Chico State, and then to Sacramento State University where I completed my BA and Elementary Teaching Credential. After graduating, I was hired by SCUSD to teach at Sequoia Elementary School in Rosemont, where I stayed for the next 33 years, teaching from first grade to special day class to Resource Specialist. During that time, I completed by Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education. I was active in Sequoia PTA, and Junior League of Sacramento.
Early on while at Sequoia, I met my husband Jerry George. With him we managed to travel all 7 continents, over 100 countries, all United States, and the majority of the Provinces of Canada. We enjoyed time at Lake Tahoe and over at the ocean. My two favorite pastimes were reading and my Welsh Terriers.
