In loving memory of Peggy Hall of Edmond, Oklahoma, daughter of Lewis and Virginia (Crowley) Tich of Baltimore, Maryland, who gracefully entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and generosity on October 8, 2023.
As one of three children, Peggy found solace and balance in writing poetry, journaling, and sewing. She mastered creating arts and crafts and enjoyed nothing more than making personalized items for family and friends.
As an adult, Peggy was a Barry Manilow fan for more than forty years and an active participant in many of his fan clubs. She maintained her writing skills throughout her life and had two long-lasting pen pals. Peggy enjoyed conversing with other Manilow fans and making friendships whenever possible. She wrote to a few Hollywood “Stars” over the years and even received a few responses.
A devoted Catholic, Peggy continued practicing until her death. She collected nun dolls and enjoyed watching “Call the Midwife” on television. Her favorite movie was “The Sound of Music” and she enjoyed watching documentaries. Peggy was a volunteer (flower room support/delivery, sewing) at INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City for several years and enjoyed interacting with everyone she came in contact with.
Peggy was an avid dog lover and enjoyed having many “fur babies” during her lifespan. She enjoyed visiting Ocean City, Maryland whenever possible and had a true appreciation for Maryland crab cakes, Wockenfuss chocolate fudge and nonpareils, French fries covered with brown gravy, bear claw pastries, and lemon meringue pie.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Diane Taylor of Choctaw, Oklahoma; and brother, Gerald (Jerry) Tich of Abingdon, Maryland. Peggy is survived by her loving son, Russ Bishop-Miller and husband Thom of Arcadia, Oklahoma; sibling, Jane Holmes of Silver Spring, Maryland; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A special thank you to the staff at INTEGRIS Hospice House of Oklahoma City, for providing exceptional care for my mother. Every staff member provided and demonstrated compassionate care during our stay. My family and I were kept well-informed and received the kindest of attention we needed.
A special thank you to The Neptune Society of Edmond/Oklahoma City for assisting us so respectfully and kindly during this difficult time. Matt went above and beyond to make sure all our questions were answered and took his time with us to make sure we were made aware of all available options and that we felt comfortable with our choices. We appreciate his calm and professional demeanor and highly recommend Matt and his colleagues to anyone considering cremation services.
May Peggy find eternal peace alongside her husband, Henry Franklin Hall, of Baltimore, Maryland. I will forever love and miss you, mom. Until we meet again…
