Born on April 29, 1923 in Nicholson, Pennsylvania, she was a long time resident of both Nicholson and Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. Emily worked as a seamstress for Irene Sportswear and in the kitchen at Tyler Memorial Hospital.
Emily is survived by daughter Lelia Carpenetti of South Carolina, son Richard of Colorado, and son James of Oklahoma. She is also survived by brother, Charles Dawes and sister Lee Suomela.
Emily was Predeceased by her son Robert in 2011.
Emily had 9 grandkids, 18 great grandkids,and 3 great great grandkids.
Wake / Interment service will be held in Nicholson, Pennsylvania in June.
