William J. "Bill" Pletting, 71, of Downers Grove, IL passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017. Loving husband of Sharon Pletting nee Coleman, dear father of the late Leah Pletting, brother of John (Karen), Donald (Judy), Susan (David) Powalish, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill was a pipefitter for Local 597 for 36 years and retired in 2004. He enjoyed traveling the country in his 5th wheel with his wife Sharon and wintered in Mesa, AZ. He loved to fish, was a ham radio operator (KB9XE} and enjoyed playing Texas Holdem every chance he could. Family and friends are invited to a private service that will be held at his home on June 3 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM.
