William Patrick Heneghan

William P. Heneghan, age 81, of Plano, IL passed away in his home on January 14, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born to Patrick and Mary (Cusack) Heneghan in Chicago, IL in 1936. William was a veteran of Army from 1959 to 1965. 1964 marked the year he became a member of the IBEW and worked as an electrician for 30 years. In 1969, he married Claudia Graham in Wheaton, IL.

William was a great provider to his family; a committed husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Every year on his birthday he bought his mother flowers. Throughout the majority of his life, William loved boating and fishing with the family and later on developed a great interest in ham radio. He was also a Blackhawks fan, enjoyed NASCAR, Indy 500, The Eagles and Willie Nelson to name a few.

He is survived by his wife Claudia of 48 years; children, William M. (Paula) Heneghan, Robert P. Heneghan and Jennifer A. (Walter) Pretzer; grandchildren, Matthew, A.J., Jayden, Maggie Jo, Jake, Ryann and Gavin; brother, Anthony Heneghan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Mary Heneghan; brother, Matthew Heneghan; sister, Patricia Heneghan and brother, Joseph Heneghan.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:30 pm at St. Michael’s Church, 310 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187.
