Dearest Auntie,
Words seem to fail me as I try to express the depth of my gratitude for the profound impact you've had on my life. Your love, a radiant sun, warmed my soul and filled my days with a joy I will forever cherish. You instilled in me a fearlessness that allows me to chase my dreams, and a confidence that blossoms with every step I take. Our conversations, a tapestry woven with threads of family history, travel dreams, and the magic of photography, will forever echo in my heart.
I will miss your unexpected calls, a burst of sunshine in my day, and the infectious laughter that followed your favorite stories. The way you pronounced my name, a melody unique to you, will forever be etched in my memory. And I will never forget your unwavering belief in my potential, your vision of me as a star in the Hollywood sky.
You taught me the true meaning of grace within the bonds of family. Meeting Gary and Tanoi, witnessing their remarkable spirits, felt like a warm embrace from you. As we navigate this unfamiliar terrain, your love will be our guiding light, a comforting presence that eases the ache of your absence.
Our tears, a testament to the depth of our love, will fall like gentle rain, nourishing the seeds of cherished memories. And in the quiet moments, I will find solace in the sound of your voice, replaying your loving messages, a reminder of the enduring power of your affection.
Chicago, your beloved city, now holds a piece of your eternal spirit. You often spoke of your final resting place in this vibrant metropolis, and true to your word, you remain a part of its vibrant soul. This year, we will embark on journeys to Vegas and Paris, fulfilling your dreams of adventure and celebrating the extraordinary life you lived.
Know that you were a beacon of love and inspiration, a motherly figure who brought me closer to the heart of my grandmother Julia. The connection I shared with you both, a precious legacy, will forever be a part of me and my daughter, Jazmin.
Your life, a testament to the beauty of the human spirit, will be celebrated. Your dreams, a compass guiding our path, will be fulfilled. And the bonds of our family, strengthened by your love, will forever endure.
Rest peacefully, dear Auntie. Your journey on Earth was a triumph of love, grace, and unwavering spirit.
With eternal love and gratitude,
Shawn
