Thomas Peterson, 83, of Aurora, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Beloved husband of Leanne (Lesnik) for 42 years. Loving father of Drew Rouse (Megan Pacelt) and adored grandpa of Theodora and Asta. He adored his extended family Lisa Howell (Chuck), Sandi Malone (Scott), and he cherished his nephews Matt Peterson (Paula), Mitchell Malone, Christian Howell and Derek Malone and great nephew Axel Peterson.
Tom will be remembered by his infectious laugh, sense of humor, and genuine love for his entire family. He was always the life of the party. He was a devoted “dog dad”. He was loved by all that knew him and will be missed beyond words.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Axel and Rebecca Peterson.
He was a proud Army veteran and will have a service at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at a later date.
