Thomas E. Daniels

Thomas Daniels of Darien, Illinois, formerly Elmhurst, Illinois, passed away on August 12, 2023. He was born on May 12, 1950 and grew up in Maywood, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. and Betty J. Daniels. He worked as a Real Estate Broker for 45 years, part owner of Davies Realty and was former President of the West Suburban Board of Realtors. He was a US Army National Guard Veteran. Beloved father of Michelle Daniels (Kevin Teichen) & Debra Daniels (Duke Brown). Loving grandfather (Paw Paw) to Rylee May. Long time love of Carol Knoll and father figure to Matthew & Daniel Knoll. Survived by his brother, Robert (Elizabeth) Daniels and nephews, Jack (Erin) & Mark Daniels (Brittany Miears). He was an avid golfer, loved to read & play cards. Spending time with family & friends, especially with his granddaughter, is what brought the most joy to his life. A lover and connoisseur of Cabernet Sauvignon and great food. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Lord of Life Lutheran Church (725 75th Street, Darien, IL) on Sunday September 10, 2023 at 1:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life Luncheon at the Elmhurst American Legion Post 187 (310 W. Butterfield Road, Elmhurst, IL) at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Tom’s honor to Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
