Sue was on the staff of the Westchester, IL Park District for over 25 years. She served as office secretary to her admired boss, Gary Kasanders, for much of her tenure. Sue also served as the park district board meeting recorder where she transcribed minutes, typed agendas and organized files for park district members. Sue’s favorite part of her job was to interact with families as children were signed up for various classes and swimming pool passes. That role enabled her to get to know countless community residents and build strong personal relationships that lasted throughout her lifetime. Sue was always concerned about the welfare of others and was known for lending a helping hand or offering a supporting hug whenever it was needed. Susan was an early and faithful member of the Westchester Community Church. She served on various church committees/boards, but her true love was attending weekly bible study for the past 25 years under the leadership of Pastor Joe Mills.
