Susan C. Bach

Susan Carol Bach (née Kittmann), born January 9, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2025, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with dementia. She spent most of her life in St. Charles and Yorkville, Illinois.

Susan was a graduate of Fenton High School in Bensenville, Illinois, and built a dedicated professional life, working for Safety-Kleen, the Kane County Government Center, and later the Federal Bureau of Investigation, from which she retired in 2005.

Susan was devoted to her family and shared 29 loving years of marriage with her husband, Guy Bach. She took great joy in simple pleasures—loving crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, cherishing travel with Guy, and enjoying her favorite destinations, Maine, England, and Germany. She especially adored her cats, who brought her constant companionship and comfort.

She is survived by her husband, Guy Bach; her daughters, Kerry Johnson Bauler and Kristen Johnson Pfotenhauer (Kurt); her stepsons, Sean Bach (Nancy) and Jeff Bach (Sandy); her eight grandchildren, Maegan, Emilee, Nick, Jake, Josh, Joey, Justin, and Ryan; her three great-grandchildren, Booker, Elliot, and Troy; and her sisters, Cynthia and Kathy (Mike).
