I'm sorry hear about Sharon. She was nice to everyone!  I will really miss seeing her at the pool, as well as Chuck and Iris.

To the Myaard and Zuidema families:

I vividly remember the day I met Sharon. It was her first day of work at the ADA in the Division of Science.  It way my first day back to work from maternity leave.  For a newcomer, she was highly engaging and confident.  Sharon was an effective, no-nonsense individual. -everything you would expect of a Midwesterner. After she moved upstairs, she would occasionally call me to give a building tour to a Board member, or invite me up to get leftovers to bring back to my department after a meeting concluded. Sharon had very high standards for herself and those she worked with, so if she paid you a compliment or thought to seek you out, it meant something.  
To Chuck, all I can say is, I am still waiting for a love like you and Sharon had, and really hope I find it.

On behalf of the Baker family (Cousins), we would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family for the loss.  From photos passed down from my parents, I wanted to share one of Sharon's early years that I found (1960), unfortunately not forwarded on earlier.

I worked with Sharon at the ADA when she was with the Science Division.  She was a wonderful person and a joy to work with.  I met her and husband Chuck one year when we volunteered at the Chicago Food Depository for ADA outing.   She will be missed.  My condolences to her husband and family.

Sharon was more than a good neighbor and fellow member of Edgewater Presbyterian, she was a kind, considerate, and loving friend. She had an amazing spark of life about her, which made you want to know her better and be in her warm circle of friendship. I count myself blessed to have been called her friend. I could write and write about the many ways she touched others' lives and lived so generous a life- but the words don't seem adequate. What I keep thinking about though is that she will be greatly missed and that her love left its mark on all of us. And, I take comfort in knowing I will see her again one day in heaven.     -Aurora (Sandell) Dowling

Sharon was my supervisor for several years when she worked for the ADA Division of Science. A professional and principled individual, she fostered not only our strong working relationship, but a sense of teamwork throughout the department.  I offer my sincere condolences to Chuck, Charlene and David, and members of her extended family.

Chuck, I’m so heartbroken by your loss. I know her relationship with brought Sharon so much joy. Everyone at the office knew who Chuck was! In general, Sharon brought so much joy to the Association. I worked with her in Science and really missed her enthusiasm when she moved upstairs. You were lucky to have one another. I know you will miss her. Anita Mark

Sharon was a joy to work with and she will be missed at the ADA. I especially enjoyed her sense of humor and her zest for life and feel honored to have known her. My condolences to her husband Chuck who she spoke of often.  Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
