Ronald R L Anderson

Ron was born on May 10,1957 in Beardstown IL to Molly and Ronald J.F. Anderson.

Ron grew up in Aurora and graduated from East Aurora High in 1975. During his time in high school Ron played sports, particularly baseball, and was an active member of the drama club, acting in various plays. After graduating he then went on to attend Illinois State University. Upon moving back to Aurora, he held a few jobs until he found success in the insurance industry. For many years he worked for Chicago Motor Club (AAA). Always working hard to succeed and provide for his family, Ron excelled and received several awards. After leaving AAA he worked for other agencies before retiring.

Ron loved all sports, but baseball was his passion. Playing baseball from a young age through high school and college, he also played semi-pro baseball for a short time in Rockford, IL. He was a die-hard Cubs fan.

Ron leaves behind his two children Molly Jean (Joe) Sims and Luke (Chryssa) Anderson, his sister and caregiver Janice Lindley of Aurora, IL. Close friends, Tom Orland, John Kolodziej, John Staley, and Terry Bermes among many others friends and family.

Ron was preceded in death by his Mother Molly VanPelt, his brother Daniel Anderson, Father Ronald Anderson, Stepfather Barry VanPelt, and his grandparents.

The family would like to thank Terry Bermes for tirelessly visiting and helping Ron, and to the staff of Sunnymere, we extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all the love, compassion and support given to Ron over the past five years.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
