Robert Paul Stryck

Robert “Bob” P. Stryck, 83, of New Lenox, formerly of Hickory Hills, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Beloved husband of Anna “Nannie” M. Stryck; loving father of Bryan, Glenn, Dean (Lynn), Mitchell (Lisa) and Michelle (Ethan) Fisher; cherished grandfather of Ryan Stryck, and Jake, Josh and Gabrielle Fisher; loving brother of Margaret A. Stryck; dear uncle of Angela and Mary Stryck, Lisa (Scott) Gold; he is also survived by many dear friends.

Bob was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School and began working for Strick Trailer Company, eventually forming his own company, Stryck Enterprises Inc. which he owned and operated for 39 years. Bob’s great passion and love was spending his weekends at the 7 wooded acres he owned in Indiana. There he loved doing outdoor projects, fishing and riding his tractor.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 9:30 am until the time of funeral mass at 10:30 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60451. Interment will be held privately at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City.
