LISLE – Richard Alvin Cameron, 83, of Lisle, Illinois passed away Saturday February 3, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Illinois of Septic Shock after fighting Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer.
Born December 8, 1934 in Streator, Illinois to John S. and Zelda (Jensen) Cameron. He was a retired Salesman who worked for Hammond Organ Company (28 Years) and ended his career at Walton March (12 Years). He loved playing golf, going to all his grandkids sporting events and spending time with family and friends.
He grew up in Peoria, Illinois and graduated from Peoria High School in 1953. After graduation he moved to Chicago, Illinois and started his job with Hammond Organ Company. He was drafted by the U.S. Army and served for two years, after his return he met his wife and attended Northwestern College.
He married Patricia Lee Freeman on October 10, 1964 in Park Ridge, Illinois and she survives. Also surviving are: daughter Linda Bragg, Plainfield, Illinois; son William Cameron, Woodstock, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, John and Linda Cameron, Hanover Park, Illinois; grandchildren Cameron Bragg, Kyle Bragg (Linda), Plainfield, Illinois, Karsyn Cameron and Cooper Cameron (William) Woodstock, Georgia, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Dorothy Ogolin and Sally Furman-Lannon.
