Raul Mejia Sr.

He is survived by children; Omar Leiva, Raul Mejia, Helder Mejia, Tania Mejia and two daughter-in-laws Albelitza Mejia and Silvia Leiva. He was the grandfather to Lyiah, Lehanna, Gabriel, Isabelle, Jassy, Matthew, Iris, Alejandra, Kingston, and Kashius.

After living in Honduras, Raul and Ludys moved to the United States seeking a better life

for their family. As an immigrant he worked hard and made a good living for his family. After being diagnosed with Parkinsons he moved to Nevada. Raul did not allow his disease to define him. He worked until his body could no longer work, from Nevada he moved back to Chicago. His daughter Tania, and her daughters Lyiah and MaeMae took on the responsibility of caring for him until the very end.

Raul created small lasting memories with those around him. For those that were able to be in his presence and hear his encouragement was truly blessed. This is a celebration of the life and impact he had on those that are left behind. Come join us on April 2025 to celebrate the life of Raul Mejia Sr.
