Paul W Blaszczyk

Paul W. Blaszczyk, age 76, of Lansing, IL passed away on Sunday March 24, 2019. Beloved husband of Elaine; loving father of Sharon (Chuck) Cecil, Kim (Jay) Boros, Jennifer (Marty) Paprock, Jolene (Terry) Germany, Paul, Mindy (Darren) Frageman and his late daughter Rene (2015); cherished grandfather of many and dear brother of Christopher (Marcia) Blaszczyk.

Paul proudly served as Corporal in the US Marine Corps in the 1960’s. After his discharge, Paul was employed by US Steel as a millwright and retired after 30 years of service. Paul was also a Lieutenant for the Dolton, IL Volunteer Fire Department and retired after 15 years of service.

Paul truly lived his life through the fullest of simple pleasures; chatting with everyone he met and leaving a lasting impression. Paul loved watching old western and war movies over and over again, especially those movies that starred his all-time favorite actor, John Wayne. Everyone Paul met loved his lively, outgoing personality, contagious smile and funny quotes. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of meeting him.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. sharp with a military procession line up at the Mokena VFW Post 725, 19852 Wolf Rd, Mokena, IL to the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Interment at 11:30am.
