Patricia A Bishop

Patricia Bishop, born on June 11, 1932, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, in Olympia Fields, Illinois, at the age of 93. She was the cherished daughter of Raymond and Mabel Kirgis.

Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry V. Bishop Sr., her sister Mary Scholz, and her brother Raymond Kirgis Jr. A woman of great resilience and unwavering resolve, she dedicated much of her life to service and the arts. For decades, Patricia volunteered at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, offering her time and compassion to those in need, leaving a lasting impression on all who worked with her.

A passionate supporter of the arts, Patricia had a profound appreciation for music and was a longtime patron of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Her love for classical music enriched her life, providing great comfort even after she lost her eyesight in 2003. Known for her vibrant fashion sense, she was never seen without her signature tube of lipstick.

Patricia is lovingly remembered by her children, Harry, Carolyn, and Arthur; her grandchildren, Collin, Taylor, Peyton, Jenna, Samantha, and Abbey; as well as four great-grandchildren.
