Maryellen King

MaryEllen King, 71, of Lombard, formerly of Oak Brook, IL, passed away on March 31, 2023, surrounded by her family. She battled cancer multiple times since 2014, but still had the strength and tenacity to fight because she loved life. She had a fun personality, and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went. She was strong, kind, genuine, and she stayed true to herself.

She loved her family so much. Her children were her pride and joy. She was incredibly proud of her grandchildren. Her two great-grandbabies rocked her world over the last five years. She was “Nana” to all of them and many others that she called family. Her faithful dog, Charlie, was always by her side. Truly her best friend and protector.

In our heart, you will always be. Always loved and forever missed.

Next time you hear a wind-chime, think of MaryEllen. Think of Nana. It will warm your heart, which is exactly how she wants to be remembered.

Loving mom of Chris (Elizabeth), Michelle (Anthony) and Jim (Nicole); cherished Nana of Desiree (Dominic), Elisa (Brock), Emily, Christopher and Sean; dear great-grandmother of Carmella and Vienna.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 9:30 am until the time of mass at 10:15 am at St. Alexander's Catholic Church, 300 S. Cornell Ave., Villa Park, IL.
