Marilyn C. Neyfeldt

Marilyn Neyfeldt, of Oak Park, IL, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025. Loving and devoted mother to Melissa Neyfeldt; loving sister to Arlene (the late Terry) Pokuta and dear sister-in-law to Lea (the late Thomas) Neyfeldt; proud and loving aunt to Steve (Trish) Pokuta, Joni (Joe) Dyniewski, Michael (Tonja) Pokuta, Joe (Michele) Pokuta, Chrisi (Joe) Smith, and Christopher (Amy) Neyfeldt; loving cousin to many and lastly, loving cat mom to her constant companion, Precious.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Neyfeldt.

Marilyn was a hardworking nurse for over 30 years. She had a great love of Florida. She lived with such joy no matter what was happening in her life at the time. Over the years, she made many lasting friendships and was a loyal and loving friend to many.

A special thank you to her friends, Barbara Jones and Janice Thomas, who helped her and supported her as her health began to decline and also, a thank you to Dorothy Kleinschmidt, who was her best friend since childhood and was there for her until the very end.

I would like to thank her loving and compassionate caregivers, Alejandra Tello and Jenna Dennis who took such wonderful care of my mom at the end of her life. Special thank you to her cousin Judy Forsberg, who was extremely supportive during my mom’s health decline.

She will be greatly missed and always loved.

A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held privately by her family.
