3/10/53 - 4/7/23
After a vigorous boxing match and initial triumph over cancer, Linda fought with everything she had against the related ailments that followed, but ultimately lost her battle peacefully on April 7, 2023.
Linda was a happy person that loved life and everyone around her for simply who they were. She enjoyed traveling and being outdoors and watching nature as much as she enjoyed being at home on the comfy couch with a good movie.
She spent 30 years working for United Airlines as a collector for other airlines that used United’s services. If those airlines did not pay their debts on time, she had the power to ground their planes. Being the nice person she is, we don’t think she ever had to actually ground any planes over the years, but she threatened it. If those airlines knew what a true, sweet marshmallow she was, they might not have worried, but she was very effective in getting them to pay up.
Linda leaves behind her spouse and partner in crime of 40 plus years, Bob Dinaro; June 24th would have marked their 40th wedding anniversary. She also leaves behind so many family members and friends to celebrate her life.
Per Linda’s wishes, there are no services planned at this time. In lieu of sending flowers, if you would like to make a donation in her name to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741, that would be appreciated. You can also have a bloody mary in her honor at your convenience.
