

John Raymond Webb, 87, of Naperville, IL, died October 1 at St. Patrick’s Residence in Naperville after a short stay. He was born in Aurora, IL in 1938 to Dorothy K. (Moore) and Raymond L. Webb. He graduated in 1956 from East Aurora High School and in 1964 from Aurora College with a BS degree in Chemistry and a minor in Mathematics. He married Janet Mae Kunz in 1959 in Buffalo Prairie, IL. John spent most of his career as a water treatment chemical account manager for Nalco Chemical Company (now Ecolab). He and Janet traveled extensively both within the US and across every continent except Antarctica. When not traveling, he and Janet could be found playing tennis or bridge, riding their bikes, or participating in the DuPage County Trail Patrol at local forest preserves. John also volunteered for ten years at Loaves and Fishes in Naperville. John was preceded in death by his grandson Nate Woodring and is survived by Janet, his wife of 67 years; daughters Jennie (Bob) Woodring and Julie (Carl) Dennis; sister Sheila; sisters-in-law Eileen and Pat; grandsons Andy (Danielle) and Jake (Karen), nephews, nieces, and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be at 10:00 am at Community United Methodist Church, 20 Center St. in Naperville followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am.
