Joan F. Capriotti

Joan F. Capriotti, age 92, of New Lenox, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Joan was born in Chicago Heights, IL, to the late Santo D. and Stella J. (nee Stracci) Capriotti. Preceded in death by her loving sister Joyce L. Capriotti. Dear sister of Thelma (the late Jake) Biamonte; loving aunt of Jenna (Dave) Kindinger, Rob Anderson, Lori (Brendan) O'Mara, Cari (Fred) Biamonte-Bolda, and Geri Biamonte; proud great-aunt of Mason (Ashley), Morgan, and the late Mitchell O'Mara.

Those who knew Joan will remember her for her quick-wit, love for reading, doing crossword puzzles, and playing the slot machines. She was absolutely beautiful inside and out, extremely caring, and unbelievably selfless, always putting her family’s needs above her own. She was strong and stubborn to her last breath.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joan’s name to Lightways Hospice in Joliet, IL would be appreciated. As per Joan’s wishes, there will not be any services held. She will be laid to rest alongside her loving parents and sister Joyce at a later date at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Glenwood, IL.
