Jesse R Acosta

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Jesse R. Acosta, 85, of Chicago, IL, who left us this December 12, 2024. Jesse was born in 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri to Jesse and Petra (nee Duran) Acosta. Jesse met his wife, Vonda (nee Pierce), in Chicago, IL. They have been married for 65 years. Jesse was a man of strong will and unwavering resilience. He was full of laughter and love with immense pride for his family.

Jesse retired as a Sergeant from the Chicago Police Department following 38 years of service.

Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Acosta, Sr., and mother, Petra Acosta; sister, Rose Reyes, and his son, Jesse A. Acosta. He is survived by his wife Vonda, daughters Angel Dominguez, Sandra Acosta, and Tamara (Casey) Ciner; brother Michael Acosta, and sister Rita Monaco(Paul Shriner); grandchildren, Tawnie and Jeremy Dominguez, Phillip Frenzel, Gabriel Guzman, Abigail and Lilliana Acosta, and Matthew and Katherine Ciner. He was Uncle Jr. to numerous nieces and nephews.
