Left to cherish his memory is his children Michael Dubin, Lisa (Todd) Paulson, Dan (Michelle) Dubin, granddaughters Lane Paulson and Karli Paulson, grand kitties, Josie and Lola and grand pups Buck and Nixey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irene Dubin and his brother Kenneth.
Jerry loved and adored his family and he cherished his loving wife Marlene. They were always laughing together and were inseparable. Everyone always loved Jerry’s sense of humor. Whenever you would leave him his famous line was “stay out of trouble….and trees.” He had that quick wit that kept you smiling.
Jerry loved that house in Lemont. It was his sanctuary. He also loved his guns, his cars, music and a well-kept lawn. He was a Chicago White Sox fan since birth and one of his favorite Sox players as a kid was Luke Appling. He liked when the crowd yelled LUUUUUKE. Marlene and Jerry were married in 1959, the year the White Sox went to the World Series. Jerry also loved his Chicago Bears and especially the tailgate parties. After that January 3rd 1987 playoff loss to the Redskins, the year after the Super Bowl win, he didn’t speak to anyone for days.
His kids all agree they had one great father who made life fun, interesting and memorable. He made sure birthdays, Christmases, holidays and cookouts were enjoyable. He was one special guy! So next time you’re out or at home raise a glass of wine or his favorite Manhattan to him. We love you. Thanks for being special.
Bear Down Jerry!
