

Jean Hatfield, born Ola Jean Wilson on July 25, 1934, in Tennessee, passed away April 14, 2026 in Naperville Illinois peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to her family.
She was the daughter of Columbus Wilson and Nellie (Miller) Wilson of Tennessee, where she grew up and carried those roots with her throughout her life.
Jean was a loving mother to all of us, and grandmother. She leaves behind her son Gerald Lamar, wife Lisa, grandkids Natalie, Rachael, and Shannon, with love and dedication throughout her life.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, watching basketball games, playing bingo, shopping, and celebrating holidays, birthdays, and special moments with her grandchildren. In her earlier years, she was an avid walker who valued her independence.
She will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and the love she gave so freely. Jean’s life was one of both challenges and strength. Through it all, she remained closely connected to those who stood by her, and in her later years, she was cared for with compassion, patience, and love.
Jean will be remembered for the role she played in the lives she touched, and for the memories shared with those who knew her best.
