Janet Sue Chapman

Janet Sue Chapman, 87, of Olympia Fields, formerly of Park Forest and Channahon, passed away on Monday March 18, 2024. Beloved wife of David T. Chapman for 64 years; loving mother of Diane (Scott) Miller, Kathleen (Roger) Veldhuizen and Steven (Kellene) Chapman. She was the cherished grandmother of Christina, Amanda (Brian), Andrea (Shaunya), Scott Jr., Sarah (Carey), Morgan and Nathan; dear great-grandmother of Alana, Brooklyn, Elijah and Gracelynn. Jan loved to spend time outside working in the garden and was an avid book reader. She also enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. Janet retired from an extended career as an Administrative Assistant at McGraw-Hill Publishing and was a volunteer at St Joseph’s Hospital in Joliet for many years. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on June 8, 2024 11:00 am at Sunrise Assisted Living in Olympia Fields, IL.
