It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to James "Jim" F. Messinger Jr., a loving family man, devoted professional, and sports enthusiast who departed this world on December 30, 2023, at the age of 76.

Born on October 24, 1947, Jim's life was a testament to his dedication and unwavering love for his life's work. Jim's career was not just a means of earning a living; it was an integral part of his identity, and he embraced it with a silent but powerful commitment.

While Jim was a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes about his love and devotion to his family, friends, and clients. His generosity knew no bounds, and he enjoyed helping others without seeking recognition or praise.

Jim's loyalty and steadfast support were unparalleled in the realm of friendship. Despite his reserved nature, he had an uncanny ability to foster deep connections, and his genuine camaraderie impacted the lives of those fortunate enough to call him a friend.

His knowledge of sports trivia, statistics, and historical moments was exceptional, making him the go-to person for any sports-related discussion. His love for sports was not just a hobby; it was a vibrant thread woven into the fabric of his existence.

Surviving Jim are his loving wife and companion of 40 years, Eileen; daughter Donna (Scott) Sedlacek; grandchildren Amanda, Ryan (Liz), Connor, and Kaitlyn Sedlacek; and great-grandchildren Sophie and Marcie.
