James C. Freeburn, 73, of Elmhurst, formerly of Chicago, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Freeburn; sons, James and Andy; daughters, Nirvana and Catherine; sister, Jean Fitzgerald and brother-in-law, Frank (Tina) Orlita. James was a past program director for the LSSI-Lutheran Social Services Alcohol Detox Center, he was a counselor for Catholic Charities in Chicago, and a counselor and psychology director at Northwestern University. For the past 20 years, he and his wife Christine ran their business Verre Visage, creating custom glass art pieces together.
