Fred J. Teer, Sr., age 80, formerly of Elburn, Illinois, passed away in Chicago, Illinois on February 1, 2025. Fred was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Ophie (Morris) and Jay Teer. Fred was married to Paula (Rutherford) Teer, who predeceased Fred on October 25, 2011.
Fred is survived by his son, Freddie (Missi) Teer, Jr. and his grandchildren, Zachary Teer and Callie Teer. He was a great-grandfather to Ryder, Logan and Connor Teer. Fred's biggest passion was racing, and he spent almost fifty years as the crew chief for his son, Freddie. When he was not attending one of Freddie's races, he was watching racing, helping another driver or at the track.
