Elfriede Edith Jones

Elfriede E. Jones (Schoenherr), age 86, of Lombard IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, September 24th, 2019, at her daughter's residence. She was born on March 29th, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Walter and Emma Schoenherr. Elfriede was a loving and faithful wife of 47 years to her beloved husband, Howard L. Jones, who preceded her in death.Elfriede lived a full life as a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

She was formerly employed by the Carlisle Banquets, where she made many close friends over the years. She loved her family, enjoyed listening to Allen Jackson classics, sipping on Mocha Frappes, watching the movie "50 First Dates," and was an avid traveler, especially to sunny Florida. She leaves to cherish her memories 3 children; Sandra Jones, Linda (Charles) Janisch, and William (Jean) Jones; 7 Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends. Elfriede will be laid to rest on Thursday, October 3rd at the Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Northlake, IL. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
