Elaine Sophie Ida Haberkamp was born to parents Fred Haberberkamp Jr. and Ester M. Gathman in Roselle Illinois in 1928. She grew up second eldest child of four attending Roselle Public School and graduating from Glenbard High School where she enjoyed literature, dance and prepared for a career in office work. She had two sons with her late and former husband Micheal George Hisson.
Elaine was a lifelong White Sox fan, Illinois resident, lover of cats, and respected quilter. She had lived in Roselle, Chicago's Brighton Park neighborhood, Oak Park and most recently Naperville. Elaine had worked for Belzeka's Auto Dealership (now Lithuanian Museum) during the 70s and retired from Grant Wilson upon the company's closure.
Elaine is survived by her son James Hisson and wife Kathleen Gillespie, son Jeffrey and wife Donna Hisson, grandchildren Michael Hisson, Martin Hisson and Damian Robbins; dearest sister to Evy (the late Merill) Gregory, Richard Haberkamp and the late Robert (Bobby) Haberkamp; Aunt to Peg (Gregory) Ross, Steven Gregory, Sally Gregory and Dave Haberkamp and Stacy Haberkamp.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
