Edmond “Skip” J. Ball Jr. passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 in Minooka, IL.
He was born on October 14, 1949 in Evergreen Park, IL.
Skip went on to get his Bachelor's degree from Illinois State University.
All the way up until his passing, he was a private softball instructor for 37 years. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox, and Milwaukee Brewers.
For the love of sports he went on to establish a softball team, “The Blue Sox,” in Normal, IL.
Skip was a member of St. Edward and Christ in Joliet, IL where he shared his voice and guitar with them as a beloved member of the choir.
Skip is survived by his loving family; his wife, Danette Ball (née Deal); his daughter, Samantha Ball. Siblings; Chris (predeceased by Eddie) Flynn, Pamela (David) Radziewicz, Patrick (Marilyn) Ball, Gerald (Annette) Ball, Steven Ball, and Wendy Ball. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. His brother-in-law, Dustin Deal (Rachel Michels). Mother-in-law, Janice Squires and Father-in-law, Darrell Deal Sr. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Rosemarie Ball (Lloyd) and Edmond Ball. Siblings; James (survived by Susan) Ball, Michael (survived by Paulette) Ball, Kevin (survived by Yvette) Ball, and L. Scott Ball. His brother-in-law, Darrell Deal Jr.
He will be missed in our hearts and in our minds. A Celebration of Life will be planned by his family at a later date.
