Charles D Benson

Charles found great enjoyment in race cars and took pride in rebuilding cars of his own. He was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears and never missed the opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. Charles also had a deep appreciation for classic Western films, spending many hours enjoying the timeless stories and characters they brought to life.

Charles is survived by his sister, Diane (Kader) Benchamma; brother, John Benson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline (nee Boratko) and Edward Benson; brothers, Lawrence Edward Benson and Edward John Benson; and longtime partner of 20 years, Hertha Winkler.

Charles will be laid to rest in a private interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
