A Naperville resident since 1954, Carl passed away Sunday, September 16th, 2018. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 11th, 1929 to the parents of Edith and Carl Westerlund Sr. The Korean War Veteran was later employed by Northern Illinois Gas Company and Natural Gas Pipeline Company. He is survived by his children; Peggy (Larry) Closson, Carol (Joe) Stern, Michele Norman, Tom (Pam) Westerlund and the mother of his children, Nancy Westerlund. Carl was a kind and thoughtful man who enjoyed spending time with his family listening and telling stories. He will be missed by his 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was very loved and will be carried in our hearts always. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity on his behalf. As Carl would say “Buzz Buzz”
