Barbara J. Nelson

Beloved wife of 70 years to James D. Nelson; loving mother of James W. (Janice) Nelson, Janice Kratville (William) McCabe, Marykay (Chuck) Sulda, and Thomas (Chrissy) Nelson; dear grandmother of Matthew, Mark (Truc), and Kimberly (James) Nelson; Eryck (Elizabeth) Kratville and Jeniffer (John) May; Ryan (Sarah) Sulda, Kristin (Chris) Corbett and Kaitlin (Mike) Daltrey; and Hannah Nelson; step-grandmother of Patrick (Mary) and Christopher (Beth) McCabe; cherished great-grandmother of 17; dear sister of William (the late Helen) Meister.

Preceded in death by parents Frank and Florence (Bane) Meister and son-in-law Gary R. Kratville.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Mary of Gostyn Church, 445 Prairie Avenue, Downers Grove, IL 60515. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice or the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org.

Per her wishes, Barbara’s ashes will be taken to her lake house in Wausaukee, Wisconsin where her family has made many wonderful memories.
