Alice M Oswald

Alice was born December 3, 1931 in Long Island, NY to parents Carl and Mary (nee Michael) Kuhles. She got her nurse’s training at Ryburn School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at Hines VA Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital for Children and Snow Valley Living Center in Lisle, IL, among others. In 1960, she met the love of her life, Howard Oswald; they were united in marriage the following year.

Alice proudly served her country as a Captain in the Air Force Reserve.

Alice is survived by her beloved husband, Howard; daughter, Elizabeth Oswald; sons, Robert and Brian Oswald; sister, Carol Rieuf-Van Dyke; sister-in-law, Barbara Kuhles and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Albert Kuhles; foster parents, Raymond and Relma Browne; foster sister, Carol Nelson; brother in law, John Van Dyke; foster brother in law, Carroll Nelson; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (nee Oswald) Nawrocki; and brother-in-law, Daniel Nawrocki.
