He was born in 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Josephine Roberts. He would go on to serve in the US Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Annette, son Billy and his wife and daughter, Johnny and Lily Bolen, Noretta Bolen Greene and family, brothers Sam, David and Larry Harper, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held September 16, 2026, at 11:00 am at West Side United Methodist Church in Mobile, with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to his favorite charity Disabled American Veterans.
