Wallace Penrose Cash

Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Rosemary (Wallace) Cash, Son Terrance, Sister and Brother-in-Law Judith and Joseph Viau, Niece Jenny Davis and her daughter Corrie Maynard, Mother-in-Law Darline Corn and Brother-in-Law Duane Corn.

Survived by Wife Barbara, Son David, Brother-in-Law Dwight Corn (Alice), Sister-in-Law Becky Ballard., Nieces and Nephews Jeff (Joy) Viau, Janice Viau, Jeri (Chris) Heine, Jim (Sharon) Viau, Julie Viau, Niece Cristie Corn Riley, Niece Ellie Ballard, and many beautiful great and great-great nieces and nephews.

While last residence was Fairhope, Al, the majority of his life was spent in Hilliard, Ohio after growing up in Grandview Heights, and graduating from Grandview High School.

Wally joined the Navy in 1943, served on the island of Guam in WWII, and continued to serve in the reserve force for a total of 42 years. He used the G.I. Bill to study at Columbus State Community College and The Ohio State University. In civilian life he managed a network of Neighborhood Service Centers to deliver assistance to underprivileged communities, and after retirement continued a life of service: volunteered at OSU Hospital and single handedly ran the food pantry in Hilliard for 17 years, volunteered at The Northwest Franklin County Historical Society and for Hilliard Kiwanis projects.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025 @ 2pm at the Tremont Club in Hilliard, OH – 4800 Tremont Club Dr. Hilliard, OH 43026.
