She was born on March 28, 1944, in Stuttgart, Arkansas where she grew up moving around the world as military brats tended to. She has lived in places from Arkansas to Japan, New York to Alabama but her favorite place seemed to be Gulf Breeze, Florida.
She graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in Shalimar, FL in 1962, and then went on to Florida State University graduating with a degree in English and English Education.
She worked as a high school English teacher, IBM systems engineering, administrative assistant and office management, heck even restaurant manager. However, her greatest job was being a wonderful and loving wife and mother.
She was actively involved in boating on the crystal-clear blue waters and having fun in the sun. She loved to entertain and was involved with the Emerald Coast Women’s Club and Holley-Navarre Senior Bridge Club. One of the biggest things she missed by moving to Alabama was being able to play bridge and card games with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Frederick Bonphia Baggett Jr. and Charlcie Lee Whiddon, brothers Mark Baggett and Greg Baggett, and loving husband Claude Richard (RICH) Park III.
She is survived by her children, Claude RICHARD Park IV and Lisa Ann Park, her brother Fredric Wayne Baggett (Lynn), nieces Katherine Baggett and Rebecca Baggett, Sarahjeane Buell Park Campbell, Allison Van Diest, Jennifer Brown and Jeffrey Hord.
Family and friends are invited to attend her interment at Barrancas National Cemetery on Monday February 23, 2026 at 11:30. Procession on to the base will meet at Olive Baptist Church WARRINGTON campus 103 W. Winthrop Ave, Pensacola, FL between 10:45-11:00.
