Morris Martin Garrett III

Morris (Marty) Martin Garrett, III of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on Monday, May 8th, 2023, at the age of 60. He was born on September 4th, 1962, at Tyndall Air Force Base, in Panama City, Florida. He was born into an Air Force family, experiencing the many trials and tribulations of constant moving and reinstating himself with new friends and new schools. However, he took those hardships in stride and was able to successfully complete his high school graduation early. His efforts allowed his family to depart as scheduled from their Germany assignment.

After graduation, he joined the Army and was trained as an electronics technician. At the end of his service with the Army, he became a fully qualified electrician. In his career as an electrician, he was sought after by many local companies for his expertise in the field. As a result, he was able to move to these companies and was promoted to supervisory level positions. He also completed his duties in the Army reserves.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Morris M Garrett Sr, Lorraine V. Garrett, Jerry Coby, and Katherine Coby. He was survived by his daughter Candice Cruz, his sister Deena L Williams, his mother, Judith Champion, his father, Morris M Garrett, Jr., and his wife, Susan P Garrett.
